Vancouver is the 8th largest city in Canada and was the host of the 2010 winter Olympic games. The population of Vancouver is around three-quarters of BC's population, 600,000 people. The people of the pacific maritime are very diverse and come from many cultures from all over the world. The Pacific Maritime is a place where all cultures and religions are welcomed.

Population Distribution

Most of the Pacific Maritime is sparsely populated due to harsh climate conditions in the north. In the south, however, the area is very densely populated with over 2.5 million people living in Vancouver and the surrounding area. Vancouver city itself has a population density of over 5,000 people per km2!
